It's a cloudy, rainy afternoon in Pennsylvania, and I'm sitting in my local coffee shop, happy, and filled with so many emotions.
The morning of, and during my final exam, I was miserable, tired, and at the verge of tears. I thought I did horrible, and I held onto, what I thought was a thin string of hope that I would be able to pass.
Little did I know...I did so much better than I thought.
Not only did I just pass my final, I got a B+, which replaced my lowest exam score, and, therefore gave me a final score of an A in the class (I did well on my first exam).
As I was driving home, I got the "Test 3 is Graded" notification, and I didn't have the ability to wait. While I was driving, I opened the Canvas app and saw the B+. I was filled with such a surge of happiness I didn't know what to do with it. To know that all of those months of stressing, crying, studying, preparing was worth it was nothing short of satisfying.
I also finished well in my Chemistry 2 class, and I'm ending this semester as an A student. I never would have thought I would be able to earn back that spot. (Long story, maybe I'll get into it in another blog post.)
I know this is also so random, but I qualified for a Citi Bank American Airlines Platinum Select Credit card because my credit shot up to almost perfect score. This is the first credit card (besides the one I got when I was really young and honestly I think my parents got it somehow for me) that I qualified for on my own with my own credit score. This is something I really wanted, because I want to travel more, and I achieved it.
2024 has been fruitful, and I'm so eternally thankful.
Oh my god, I'm at the verge of tears in the coffee shop right now. I'm such a crybaby!
Let me talk about my book now, shall we? before I really break down.
So now, I'm going full throttle in finishing Fate's Constellation. Will I be done drafting by December? Honestly, I don't know. That's the goal, but I don't want to rush my creativity. I'm nearly done with chapter 37, and I'm super excited to start writing chapter 38, a major turning point of the book, and also where one of my favorite characters will finally be introduced.
(A few tears and some minutes later...)
Ah...I've been blogging for quite some time and I haven't even gotten to writing yet! I've been too busy being emotional (well deserved) but I digress.
On my way to Aesteris.
